Eligibility:

Participants: The hackathon is open to individuals aged 18+ and only for the LagosBlockChainWeek attendees.

Teams: Teams can consist of up to 5 members. All team members must be registered and listed in the submission.

Participation Mode: Both in-person and virtual participation are allowed.

Project Requirements:

Work/Learning: All hackers should go through the resource section for documentation on ICP which should be used in every project

Original Work: All work on the project must be done during the hackathon period. Pre-existing projects or plagiarized work are not allowed.

Themes: Projects must align with one of the hackathon themes (DeFi, NFTs, supply chain, sustainability).

Code Ownership: Participants retain ownership of their code, but must agree to open source their submission under an appropriate license.

Submission Requirements:

Resource: All hackers should integrate ICP into their projects

Deadline: All projects must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the 4th of July on Devpost.

Documentation: Submissions must include a project description, demo video, presentation slides, code repository link, and team information.

Presentation: Teams must be prepared to present their projects to the judges.

Judging Criteria:

Innovation, Technical Complexity, Functionality, Impact, Presentation. Detailed criteria provided above.

Prizes:

Award Categories: Prizes will be awarded in various categories such as Best Overall, Most Innovative, Best Use of Technology, etc.

Disqualification: Judges reserve the right to disqualify any team for violations of the rules or code of conduct.

Conduct:

Respect: Participants must treat all other participants, mentors, judges, and organizers with respect and courtesy.

Harassment: Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to, offensive comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Inclusivity: The hackathon aims to provide an inclusive environment. Discrimination based on gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion is strictly prohibited.

Collaboration: Participants should foster a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and helping each other.

Code of Conduct:

Purpose: The Lagos Blockchain Week Hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form.

Expected Behavior:

Respect: Show respect and courtesy to all participants.

Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Positivity: Maintain a positive and constructive attitude.

Professionalism: Act professionally and ethically at all times.

Unacceptable Behavior:

Harassment: Any form of harassment, including but not limited to, offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion.

Intimidation: Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.

Disruption: Sustained disruption of talks or other events.

Inappropriate Contact: Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior:

Warning: Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Expulsion: Participants may be expelled from the hackathon without a refund at the discretion of the organizers for violations of this code of conduct.

Reporting: Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior can be reported to the hackathon organizers at any time.
